NEW HAVEN COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Jonathan Vazquez, of New Britain, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim in a Monday afternoon single-vehicle crash in New Haven County.
Vazquez, 24, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Beacon Falls Monday afternoon.
According to reports, Vazquez was operating a vehicle on Route 8 near Exit 23, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway Monday afternoon. The vehicle then traveled down an embankment and rolled over onto the railroad tracks.
Vazquez, who was ejected during the wreck, was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
