OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Denishia Oliver has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Sunday morning in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.
Oliver, 19, was killed after she was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 44 in Northeast Oklahoma City early Sunday.
According to reports, Oliver was on-foot in the area of I-44 and North Martin Luther King Avenue in Oklahoma City, when she was struck by a passing vehicle around 1 a.m. Sunday.
Oliver was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained on-scene and was not injured during the incident.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
