WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PA. (THECOUNT) — Brandon Peterson has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a tractor-trailer Tuesday in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
Peterson, 18, was fatally struck by a big-rig near Greensburg Tuesday.
According to reports, Peterson was operating a Dodge Ram 2500 on US-119 near Greensburg, when the vehicle became disabled. He then exited the vehicle and was struck by a passing 18-wheeler, operated by Logan Denny of North Carolina.
Peterson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Denny remained on-screen and fully cooperated with officials.
The cause of the deadly incident is under investigation.
