WARREN COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Amanda Core, of Indianola, Iowa, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle crash Sunday in Warren County.
Core, 41, was killed in a two-vehicle crash that injured four other individuals near Palmyra Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, a 17-year-old teen driver from Indianola operating a pickup truck failed to observe a stop sign when the vehicle came into contact with a vehicle operated by Aaron Core of Indianola near 180th Ave and Fulton Street in Palmyra. The force of the collision sent both vehicles into a culvert around 3:40 p.m. Sunday.
Amanda Core was killed in the crash while Aaron Core was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The teenage truck driver and his two young passengers were also transported with unknown injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
