YORK COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Michael Mackie Jr, Sanford, Maine, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday vehicle crash in York County.
“Mike” Mackie, 22, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Arundel Thursday night.
According to reports, Mackie was operating a Chevrolet Malibu on Maine 111 in Arundel, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 7:45 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle then came into contact with a substantial tree.
Mackie was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
