LUCAS COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Katilynn Spicer, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Chase Lavely, of Chariton, Iowa, have been identified as the victims in a Sunday night double-fatal vehicle crash in Lucas County.
Spicer, 15, and 16-year-old Lavely, were both killed in a two-vehicle crash near Chariton Sunday night.
According to reports, the teens were traveling as passengers in a Jeep on Highway 34 in Chariton, when the vehicle came into contact with a pickup truck Sunday night.
Spicer and Lavely were both killed in the crash.
The Jeep and pickup driver were both transported to area hospitals in unknown condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
