SANDUSKY COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Travis Swearington, of Clyde, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday night vehicle in Sandusky County.

Swearington, 40, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Rice Township Tuesday night.

According to reports, Swearington was operating a vehicle on SR-523 near Fremont, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then made contact with a highway sign and a tree.

Swearington was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
