HORRY COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — PFC Jacob Hancher has been identified as the Myrtle Beach officer killed in the line of duty Saturday night while responding to a call for service in Horry County.
Hancher, 23, was killed following an officer-involved shooting incident in Myrtle Beach late Saturday night.
Hancher was employed by the MBPD for four years as a community service officer and less than one in patrol.
Details of the shooting, which also injured another officer, were not immediately made available.
