KENNEBEC COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Nicholas Caron, of Bangor, Maine, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Friday vehicle crash in Kennebec County.
Caron, 18, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Sidney Friday afternoon.
According to reports, Caron was operating a Honda Element on Interstate 95 in Sidney, when the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 3 p.m. Friday. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.
Caron was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but bad weather may have played a factor.
