MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Jonquil Antoine Thompson, of Charlotte, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday morning fatal shooting in Mecklenburg County.
Thompson, 35, was shot dead early Saturday morning in southwest Charlotte.
According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 400 block of Conway Avenue in Charlotte around 2 a.m. Saturday. When officials arrived, Thompson was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
