NEW HAVEN COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — William Anthony Joyner, of Waterbury, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim in a Saturday night vehicle crash in New Haven County.
Joyner, 46 or 47, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Prospect Saturday night.
According to reports, Joyner was operating a vehicle on Waterbury Road in Prospect, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 10 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then came into contact with a brick wall and a utility pole.
Joyner was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
