JEFFERSON PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Brian Jones, of Chesapeake, Virginia, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Thursday night by a hit-and-run driver in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.
Jones, 48, was killed after struck by a hit-and-run vehicle near Kenner Thursday night.
According to reports, Jones was on-foot in the area of Veterans Boulevard and Bainbridge Street in Kenner, when he was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.
Jones was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Witnesses described the vehicle as light gray. It was last seen headed eastbound on Veterans Boulevard.
