FRANKLIN COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Joseph Wayne Groth Jr., of Columbus, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a Friday night fatal single-vehicle crash in Franklin County.
Groth, 58, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Columbus Friday night.
According to reports, Groth was operating a vehicle on Parsons Avenue near Llewellyn Avenue in Columbus, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 9 p.m. Friday. The vehicle then made contact with a utility pole.
Groth was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
