LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Corey Rogers has been identified as the victim in a Monday morning fatal vehicle crash in LaFourche Parish.
Rogers, 22, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Lockport early Monday.
According to reports, Rogers was operating a Dodge Dakota on LA-308 near the Bellevue Bridge, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 4:30 a.m. Monday. The vehicle then made contact with a utility pole and a substantial tree.
Rogers was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
