LUZERNE COUNTY, PA. (THECOUNT) — Kevin DenDulk, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Saturday morning in hit-and-run vehicle collision in Luzerne county.

DenDulk, 30, was struck and killed by a hit-and-run vehicle on Interstate 81 near Hazle Township Saturday morning.

According to reports, DenDulk was working construction on I-81 in Hazleton, when he was struck by a passing vehicle that then fled the scene Saturday morning.

DenDulk died of injuries suffered in the collision.

State police say they are seeking a 2000-2009 silver Hyundai Accent that was last seen heading north on I-81 in the Hazleton area. The vehicle may display possible front end damage. A side mirror, that is usually marked with identifying features, was retrieved at the scene.

Anyone with information on the crash is should contact the Pennsylvania State Police at 911.

The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
