POLK COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Shaun Gumm and Amanda Gordon, Both of Des Moines, Iowa, have been identified as the victims in a Thursday night double-fatal motorcycle collision in Polk County.
Gumm, 40 and 35-year-old Gordon, were both killed in a motorcycle collision involving a passenger vehicle Thursday night near Ankeny.
According to reports, Gumm was operating a motorcycle with Gordon as his passenger on Southwest Oralabor Road near Southwest Irvinedale Drive in Ankeny, when the bike came into contact with a vehicle operated by 44-year-old Sara Howell of Des Moines, Thursday night around 10 p.m.
Both Gumm and Gordon were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
It is unclear if Howell was injured in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
