PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Queen Freeman, of Ocala, Florida, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Tuesday morning by a vehicle in Palm Beach County.
Freeman, 43, was killed while crossing the street in West Palm Beach Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Freeman was on-foot in the area of S Sapodilla Ave near Banyan Blvd, when she was struck by a passing Toyota Camry, operated by 60-year-old Amilien Saunders, around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The deadly incident occurred near the U.S. District Court complex and the city police headquarters in West Palm Beach.
Freeman was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Saunders was uninjured in the collision.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
