APPANOOSE COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Kolton Gonnerman of Centerville, Iowa, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Friday night vehicle crash in Appanoose County.
Gonnerman, 24, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Centerville on Friday night.
According to reports, Gonnerman was operating a pickup truck in the 2500 block of IA-2 in Centerville, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 7 p.m. Friday. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over.
Gonnerman was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
A passenger in the vehicle, Thatcher Carel, 25, of Seymour, Iowa, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
