STONE COUNTY, MS. (THECOUNT) — Taijiri Washington, of Lucedale, Mississippi, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Monday vehicle crash in Stone County.
Washington, 18, a standout George County, Mississippi Rebels football player, died in a single-vehicle collision early Monday near Wiggins.
According to reports, Washington was operating a Nissan Maxima on Highway 26 near Highway 15 in Wiggins, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle wrecked Monday morning around 5 a.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
