NIAGARA COUNTY, NY. (THECOUNT) — Michael David Hixenbaugh, of Lockport, New York, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Friday morning motorcycle crash in Niagara County.

Hixenbaugh, 31, was killed in a motorcycle collision involving a vehicle near Pendleton on Friday morning.

According to reports, Hixenbaugh was operating a motorcycle on South Transit Road near Tonawanda Creek Road in Pendleton, when the bike came into contact with a vehicle, operated by an 80-year-old Lockport man.

Hixenbaugh was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.

It is unknown if the elderly driver was injured in the collision.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
