SPOKANE COUNTY, WA. (THECOUNT) — Matthew Donald Mischenko, of Troy, Montana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Monday night two-vehicle crash in Spokane County, Washington.

Mischenko, 35, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Spokane Valley on Monday night.

According to reports, Mischenko was operating a truck on N Butler Rd near East Trent Avenue in Spokane Valley, WA, when the vehicle came into contact with another vehicle, operated by 22-year-old Josiah Stoke of Blacklick, Ohio, around 8 p.m. Monday.

Stoke was possibly under the influence at the time of the collision, according to officials.

Stoke was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

Mischenko was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
