WAPELLO COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Joshua Gerald Gutcher of Albia, Iowa, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday single-vehicle crash in Wapello County.
Gutcher, 44, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Ottumwa Saturday night.
According to reports, Gutcher was operating a vehicle on US-34 near Venture Way in Ottumwa, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over.
Gutcher, who was ejected during the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
