WASHINGTON PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Lance S. Davis of Bogalusa, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Friday evening crash in Washington Parish.
Davis, 49, was killed in a two-vehicle collision near Franklinton Friday evening.
According to reports, Davis was operating a Kia Cadenza on LA-10 near LA 439 in Franklinton, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes Friday around 5 p.m. The vehicle then came into contact with a stopped Chevrolet Impala.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash of blunt force trauma injuries.
It is unclear if the Impala driver suffered any injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
