LIVINGSTON PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Loyd Fletcher of Walker, Louisiana, and Tina Lanoux, of Maurepas, Louisiana, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal crash in Livingston Parish Thursday night.
Fletcher, 50 and Lanoux, 53, were both killed in a two-vehicle wrong-way crash near Maurepas on Thursday night.
According to reports, Fletcher was operating a Chevrolet Silverado on LA-22 near LA-16, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 10 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle then came into head-on contact with a Nissan Xterra operated by Lanoux.
Fletcher was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
Lanoux was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
