WAUSHARA COUNTY, WI. (THECOUNT) — David Winters, of Plainfield, Wisconsin, has been identified as the victim in a Friday morning fatal vehicle crash in Waushara County.
Winters, 52, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Wild Rose on Friday morning.
According to officials, Winters was operating a vehicle on Highway 22 near Akron Dr, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 4:30 .m. Friday. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over.
Winters was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
