BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Brandon Hendershot, of Columbus, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday afternoon dump truck collision with a train in Bartholomew County.
Hendershot, 26, was killed after his City dump truck was involved in a collision with a train Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, Hendershot, a Columbus City Utilities worker, was operating a dump truck on IN-11 near U.S. 31, when the vehicle was struck by a passing train around 12:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Hendershot was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
