CASS COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Michael Mortimore, of Dowagiac, Michigan, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday morning single-vehicle crash in Cass County.
Mortimore, 21, was killed in a single-vehicle crash Saturday in Volinia Township.
According to officials, Mortimore was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle on Church Street near Lawrence Road in Volinia Township, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 6 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle then flipped over and made contact with a substantial tree.
Two other young people traveling in the vehicle were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries.
