BARBOUR COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Shalonda Montrice Foxx, of Clio, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a single-vehicle crash in in Barbour County Wednesday night.

Foxx, 34, was killed Wednesday evening after a single-vehicle crash near Clio.

According to reports, Foxx was operating a Nissan Altima on Alabama Highway 51 near Barbour County Road 51 in Clio, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 5 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.

Foxx was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
