BOND COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Lincoln Siebert, of Greenville, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Sunday morning vehicle-versus-deer collision in Bond County.
Siebert, 25, was killed in a single-vehicle collision near Greenville on Sunday morning.
According to reports, Siebert was operating a vehicle on IL-140 near Mill Drive, when the vehicle came into contact with a deer around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
The collision caused the vehicle to cross centerlines and exit the roadway before striking a guardrail and rolling over.
Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
Tess Lohman, 28, also of Greenville, a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Siebert was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The condition of the deer was not provided by officials.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
