KANKAKEE COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Nasir Douglas, of Bradley, Illinois, has been identified as the victim found dead inside a submerged vehicle in Kankakee County Thursday.
Douglas, 20, was found deceased in a vehicle that was pulled Thursday morning from the Kankakee River.
According to reports, police were notified of a submerged vehicle in the Kankakee River Thursday morning around 9 a.m. near the North Schuyler Avenue bridge.
Officials searched throughout the day, when at some point, the vehicle recovered with Douglas inside.
He was pronounced dead at around 5 p.m.
A cause of death was not provided.
An autopsy will be performed Friday to determine the cause and manner of death.
