LINCOLN COUNTY, OR. (THECOUNT) — Patrick Michael Goddard, of Eugene, Oregon, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday utility truck crash in Lincoln County.
Goddard, 23, was killed in a single-vehicle utility truck crash late Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, Goddard was operating a Freightliner utility truck on U.S. 20 near Elk City Rd, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then made contact with a guardrail, entered a culvert and flipped over.
A passenger in the vehicle, 42-year-old Jason Landry of Eugene, was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Goddard was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
