ADDISON COUNTY, VT. (THECOUNT) — Marcin Jan Kosz, of Athol, New York, has been identified by authorities as the pedestrian fatally struck by a big-rig Tuesday night in Addison County, Vermont.
Kosz, 40, was killed after he was struck by a tanker truck near New Haven Tuesday night.
According to police, Kosz was on-foot in the area of Ethan Allen Highway near Town Hill Road in New Haven, when he was struck by a passing tanker truck around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
The tanker truck driver was uninjured in the collision.
Kosz was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene.
According to officials, no one was cited at the scene.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
