WASHINGTON COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Chase Sowders, 18, from San Antonio, Texas, Jasmine Maxwell, 18, from Somerville, Justin Richard, 37, from Houston, and 6-year-old Payton Francis, from Somerville, have been identified as the victims in a quadruple-fatal vehicle crash in Washington County, Texas crash Saturday night.
Ignacio Aviles, 37, from Brenham, was operating a vehicle in opposing lanes when he struck another vehicle occupied by four people Saturday night
According to Texas Department of Public Safety officials, Aviles was traveling LBJ Drive, when for unknown reasons, he made contact with a guardrail. The vehicle then collided head-on with another vehicle Saturday night near Brenham.
Aviles was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
