PUTNAM COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Casey Lynn Douglas of Cookeville, Tennessee, has been identified as the victim in a fatal two-vehicle crash in Putnam County Friday afternoon.
Douglas, 36, was killed in a head-on crash Friday afternoon near Cookeville.
According to reports, Douglas was operating a Nissan Quest on South Willow Avenue in Cookeville, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes Friday afternoon. The vehicle then collided head-on with a Ford dump truck, operated by Donald Null, 63, of Cookeville.
Null received minor injuries in the crash.
Douglas was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Jon Douglas, a passenger in the Quest, was transported to an ICU unit of an area hospital.
