FRIENDSWOOD, TX. (THECOUNT) — Leon Shapiro, of Friendswood, Texas, has been identified as the sole survivor in a Wednesday night vehicle-versus-motorcycle crash.

Shapiro, 66, was injured in a Wednesday night crash that killed his 29-year-old female passenger and a male motorcyclist in Friendswood.

According to reports, Shapiro was operating a BMW around 8 p.m. on FM 528 Road near Bay Area Boulevard in Friendswood, when the vehicle came into contact with a Yamaha motorcycle, which was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed.

The motorcycle, operated by 24-year-old Jacob Andrew Raziano, collided with the passenger side of the BMW.

Shapiro’s passenger, 29-year-old Chasonique Evonne Richardson, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma.

Raziano, who was ejected from the bike during the crash, was also pronounced dead at the scene.

Shapiro suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.

The relationship between Shapiro and Richardson was not provided by officials.

An autopsy will be performed to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, police said.

Raziano, who was former military, had recent prior arrests involving drug charges.
