FORSYTH COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Holly Hinson, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday afternoon fatal two-vehicle crash in Forsyth County.
Hinson, 35, vice principal at Lexington Senior High School, was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Winston-Salem near Smith Reynolds Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Winston-Salem officials, Hinson was traveling as a passenger in a Honda Pilot being in the 3900 Block of North Liberty Street, when a Jeep Laredo, operated by a 53-year old man, crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicles collided head-on.
Hinson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The drivers of both vehicles were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
