OTSEGO COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Nicholas Scott Romano of Elmira, Michigan, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Otsego County crash on Monday morning.
Romano, 41, was killed in a Monday morning single-vehicle crash in Hayes Township near Gaylord.
According to officials, Romano was operating a Chrysler Town & Country on Mancelona Road near Hayes Tower Road in Gaylord, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 4:30 a.m. Monday. The vehicle then rolled over.
Romano, who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
