DANE COUNTY, WI. (THECOUNT) — Joshua John Schulz, of Oregon, Wisconsin, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Dane County Sunday.
Schulz, 22, was killed in a Sunday in a single-vehicle crash near the town of Rutland.
According to officials, Schulz was operating a Nissan Maxima on US-14 near WI-92 Trunk in Rutland, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway on Sunday. The vehicle then came into contact with a grouping of trees around 1 a.m. Sunday.
Schulz was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
