YORK COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — Shawn Waldie, of Granville, Vermont, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday single-vehicle crash in York County, Maine.
Waldie, 39, was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Berwick.
According to Berwick officials, Waldie was traveling as a passenger in a Chevrolet pickup truck, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway in the area of 179 Route 9. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.
Waldie was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
