LAFAYETTE PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Ryan Alasia Johnson, of Kentwood, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Lafayette Parish on Wednesday night.
Johnson, 19, was killed in a four-vehicle crash in Lafayette on Wednesday night.
According to Louisiana State Police, Johnson was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle when the vehicle came into contact with a disabled pickup truck on I-10 near Louisiana Avenue around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. Two other vehicle became involved following the initial crash.
Johnson, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead a the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Several individuals were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries.
