CLARK COUNTY, IN. (THECOUNT) — Paul Barksdale, of New Albany, Indiana, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday night single-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 in Clark County.
Barksdale, 61, was killed in a rollover crash along Interstate 65 Tuesday night near Clarksville.
According to reports, Barksdale was operating a Ford Fusion on I-65, near mile marker 5, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle traveled down an embankment before making contact with two vehicles parked at Ryder Used Truck Sales on Old Potters Ln.
Barksdale, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
