Toronto Man Makoons Moore ID’d As Suspect In Murder Of Surgeon Dr. Paul Morgan

NORTH YORK, ONTARIO. (THECOUNT) — Makoons Maewasige-Moore has been identified as the suspect facing a charge of second-degree murder in the killing of retired Toronto oral surgeon, 79-year-old Dr. Paul Morgan.

Morgan, a well-known philanthropist, was found dead of blunt force trauma injuries after officials arrived to his North York home on April 14.

Toronto Police Service officers responded to Morgan’s residence, located near Leslie Street & Sheppard Avenue East in Toronto, at around 8 a.m., on reports of a “sudden death.”

Upon arrival, officers located Morgan’s with “obvious signs of trauma.”

In 2017, Moore was charged in a series of destructive fires in the city’s Junction area and according to police, it wasn’t his first time.

According to Facebook, Moore attended White Pines Collegiate And Vocational School.

Morgan was the recipient of the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award and also acted as a surety to at-risk youth across Toronto, reports NewsTalk1010.

Morgan’s official cause of death has not been released by officials.

On Monday morning, investigators announced Moore’s arrest.
