CITRUS COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Franklin Delano Cooper, of Inverness, Florida, and Leilani Ho’oponoaikaine Anderson, of Hudson, Florida, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal single-vehicle crash in Citrus County Wednesday night.
Cooper, 18, and 17-year-old Anderson, were both killed in a Wednesday night crash near Floral City.
According to officials, Cooper was operating a vehicle with Anderson as his passenger traveling on Co Rd 480 near E Stage Coach Trail, when for unknown reasons the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene while Anderson was transported to an area hospital where she later died.
Two other passengers, Dylan Skyther Pringle, 17, and Kerrign Savage, 14, both of Inverness, were transported to area hospitals in unknown condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
