CITRUS COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Shannon Rose Mary Welcome of Beverly Hills, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday morning crash in Citrus County.
Welcome, 24, was killed Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash near Homosassa.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Welcome was operating a vehicle on FL-19 near Industrial Lane, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway Wednesday morning. The vehicle then rolled over.
Welcome was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
