WASHINGTON COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Arnold, Missouri man, Brad Christopher Maassen, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday evening ATV crash in Washington County.
Maassen, 40, was killed in an ATV wreck near Sullivan Saturday evening.
According to reports, Maassen was operating Can-Am Outlander on Woodland Drive in Sullivan, when the vehicle crashed Saturday around 5:30 p.m. The vehicle then made contact with a tree, ejecting the passengers.
A young girl who was riding as a passenger was seriously injured in the crash. She was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Maassen was pronounced dead on the scene of blunt force trauma.
Maassen was not wearing a safety device, according to the patrol. The youth was, according to the patrol.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
