JONESBORO, AR. (THECOUNT) — Jimmy Sturkey of Jonesboro, Arkansas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday evening motorcycle crash in Jonesboro.
Sturkey, 59, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday Evening on Interstate 555.
According to Arkansas State Police, Sturkey was operating a Kawasaki motorcycle on I-555, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Sturkey’s motorcycle the entered the median and made contact with a cable.
The conditions were cloudy and dry at the time of the crash, reports KATV.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
