Wondering If You Qualify To Receive An IRS Coronavirus Stimulus Check?

WASHINGTON, DC. (THECOUNT) — According to the official IRS website, you will not need to sign up with them to receive your Coronavirus Stimulus check.

The IRS has dedicated a special webpage to keep those interested in receiving their piece of the Stimulus pie, however, that information is very limited at this time.

What we did learn:

No sign up required! Even if you do not currently have an e-file account or you haven’t filed taxes in the last 7 years, by all indications, you will still receive your check, albeit by snail mail and a weeks-long delay.

Via IRS:

“Stimulus payment checks: No information available yet, No sign-up needed.

At this time, the IRS does not have any information available regarding stimulus or payment checks, which remain under consideration in Congress. Please do not call the IRS about this. When the IRS has more specific details available, we will make it available on this page.”

Are you worried that you may not qualify or otherwise not receive your Stimulus payment? If you make less than the threshold amount of $75,000 per year, by all indications, you should receive payment.

To signup up on the IRS website for direct payment, you will need an active mortgage account, credit card (not debit card,), student loan or a few other forms of verifications. If you do not currently possess any of those items, you may still receive your payment, but it may take upto 4 extra weeks to find you.
