FREEPORT, OH. (THECOUNT) — Missing Freeport, Ohio teen, Jack Roehrich, has been found dead, according, to Guernsey County Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden.
Roehrich, 17, who was last seen departing his home in Freeport around 7 p.m. on Friday, was located deceased on Skull Fork Road in Freeport.
“It is with a heavy heart that Sheriff Jeffrey Paden announces that Jack Roehrich was found deceased early this morning,” the sheriff’s office reported Sunday on its Facebook page. “He was located on Skullfork Road about 3 miles inside Harrison County. Once the water receded, a bystander was able to see the very top of the roof of the truck submerged in high water.
“Sheriff Paden would like everyone to continue to keep Jack’s family in your thoughts and prayers. Sheriff Paden would also like to thank everyone and all of the agencies that went out and searched for Jack.”
Roehrich’s family told police that Roehrich was going to look at the flood water, however, he never returned, reported TimesReporter.
A cause of death was not provided.
