MACON, GA. (THECOUNT) — Kenterrous Taylor of Macon, Georgia, has been identified as the off-duty Bibb County Deputy killed in a Wednesday morning police cruiser crash.
Taylor, 27, who according to Facebook was also an Fort Valley State University police officer, died Wednesday morning in a crash while operating his cruiser in Macon.
According to the sheriff’s office, Taylor was voluntarally responding to a burglary in progress, when for unknown reasons, he lost control of his cruiser near Forsyth Road & Rivoli Drive in Macon, GA Wednesday.
The vehicle then made contact with a wall causing it to rollover.
Taylor was ejected from the cruiser during to violent crash.
Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The sheriff says Taylor was off-duty but when the call came in, Taylor responded, reports WGXA.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
