PATERSON, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Paterson, New Jersey officials have confirmed that a five-year-old child has tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to the Paterson mayor, the child and their parents, a dad in his 40s and mom in her 30s, who reside in Paterson, all tested positive, said Mayor Andre Sayegh.
The mayor received confirmation on the boy Monday, prompting him to declare a state of emergency in the city, reports News12.
The family has been in self quarantine since last week, when the husband, who works in Teaneck, tested positive this weekend.
